Clevedon Miniature Railway 9 ½ inch

First opened in 1952, and steam operated by an Ivatt Atlantic, the line was a simple out and back with two sit astride carriagess as passenger stock. Extended to a circuit in 1962, the steam locomotive was soon replaced by an American Bo-Bo diesel which hauled trains until 1976. The line was upgraded with a Severn Lamb Rio Grande locomotive, the smallest 2-8-0 ever built by the company, and two sit-in 16 seater carriages in 1976, which run there to this day. The line runs round the outskirts of a field next to the seafront, with attractions often being present in the middle. There is a spur to the shed next to the station.
