Evesham Vale Light Railway 15 inch

The Evesham Vale Light Railway first opened in 2002, and runs through the grounds of a large country park in Worcestershire. It was established by Jim and Helen Shacknell to house their ever growing collection of locomotives. Trains run from Twyford Downs Station, which is situated next to the car park, andwhere there is a station building, engine shed/workshops and a station canopy which doubles as a carraige shed. Running through old apple orcahrds and passing attractive scenery enroute, passengers go through a tunnel, before Evesham Vale station which is situated on the balloon loop. Here passengers can alight for picnics. The fleet at Evesham includes historic locomotives such as restored Class 30 Little Giant 'Count Louis', Guest Pacific 'Prince William' and Barnes Atlantic 'John'. Carraiges in use are those originally used on the Fairbourne Railway.
