Hambleton Valley Miniature Railway 7 ¼ inch

The line here first opened in 2005 and was as a built as a children’s coin-in-slot Self-drive provided by Parkside Railways. Since early 2012, attention has focused on developing the railway atmosphere and extending the running line.  A relocated McAlpine container has become a workshop and some timber combined with an ex LNER ‘BZ's’ roof hoops have formed the basis of an overall roof for the main Station (now known as ‘Woodside’ as this name appears on Google Maps!) Trains run for 250 yards from Hambleton Station, through Woodside Station, to King George V ’ station and then return.  Further extensions and developments are planned.
