Pugneys Light Railway 7 ¼ inch
The Pugneys Light Railway first opened in 1998 as a 500 yard end to end line in 1998, operated by Jim Pinder and Adrian Sowden, using railcar sets built by the operators. The line was extended in 1999 to a 750 yard balloon loop, trains running from Pugneys Lakeside near the car park and watersports centre to Pugneys Central, where a nature reserve is situated. Now the sole owner, Jim Pinder has built rolling stock for both Pugneys and other lines around the country, the present Pugneys stock consisting of a Docklands Light Railway set and a freelance industrial Bo-Bo petrol locomotive.
