Wells Harbour Railway 10 ¼ inch
The Wells Harbour Railway opened in July 1976, originally ran by Commander Francis, who later went on to build the Wells & Walsingham Railway nearby. The line provides a useful transport function, taking passengers for 1200 yards from 'Harbour Station' at Wells, to 'Pinewoods' where there is a holiday park and beach, and where the sheds are situated. The lines original locomotive was 'Edmund Hannay' built by David King, though in more recent times, Alan Keef steam outline locomotives have been purchased for use, these now carrying the bulk of the traffic, using Alan Keef carriages, delivered new in 1998.
