Wolds Way Lavender Railway 7 ¼ inch
The line here first opened in 2005 and was built to transport lavender from the fields to the lavender distillation plant, as well as an addiditional transportation method to visitors to viewing the lavender farm.
Trains run for 300 yards from Grosso Junction where the distelliery is situated and where the train is stored when not operating, to a loading hopper which is currently the present halt. Extensions are planned for the railway. Trains are currently made up of a Roanoke petrol locomotive and 2 sit-in coaches, in a smart cream and purple livery, although a steam locomotive is under construction by the owners.
