Buckfastleigh Miniature Railway 7 ¼ inch

The Buckfastleigh Miniature Railway is situated at Buckfastleigh Station on the South Devon Railway. It originally opened in 1977 as the Riverside Miniature Railway and trains were pulled by ‘Yeo’ which was a 2-6-2 tank steam engine. This closed in 1983 and Yeo moved to the Gorse Blossom Railway. The line reopened in 1993 and is a circular line that runs around the picnic area behind the standard gauge locomotive sheds. Trains are pulled by either steam or petrol locomotives.
