Craigtoun Park Railway 15 inch

The Craigtoun Park Railway runs within the grounds of Craigtoun Country Park. A previous line of 7.25" gauge operated here from 1960 to 1975. The present railway used to be end to end, running past the park entrance. Major changes took place in 1996 to extend the railway round the boating lake, passing gardens, adventure playground and the historic Dutch Village. Trains are pulled by a restored Rio Grande steam outline locomotive, with three Severn Lamb coaches.
