Croxteth Park Miniature Railway 7 ¼ inch
The Croxteth Miniature Railway opened in 1981 and is located in the grounds of the big Croxteth Country Park. Trains run from one station which is called ‘Croxteth Halt’. The station has a booking office and an overall roof. Trains run from here in a clockwise direction passing through a short tunnel, allowing two runs of the circuit via a passing loop alongside the station where the next train will possibly be waiting. The whole site is totally enclosed in high mesh wire so line side photography is only possible on request. Two steam engines ‘Dennis’ and ‘Estelle’ used to work here but have moved.
