Ruislip Lido Railway 12 inch
The Ruislip Lido Railway has been greatly improved since it first opened being taken over by volunteers in 1979. Trains run from Woody Bay, trough the loop at Eleanor’s to Haste Hill, then over to Lakeside, not far from the lido’s main entrance. Movements are controlled by radio from the signal box at Woody Bay. The steam locomotive is oil fired and was built in 1998 by Winson Engineering and the Ruislip Lido Railway crew.
