Vanstone Woodland Railway 10 ¼ inch
This railway is a circuit at the Vanstone Park Garden Centre, but the station is on a siding from which the train is propelled at the start of each trip. The woodland section of the railway features steep gradients and some sharp curves. The railway is the “sister line” to that at Knebworth Park and locomotives often swap between the lines. Steam locomotives have operated here but recently diesel locomotives have handled the passenger trains. At the station there is the grounded body of the diesel locomotive “Gat”.
