Weston Miniature Railway 7 1/4inch
The Weston Miniature Railway is situated on the promenade of the seaside town Weston-Super-Mare. The line first opened in 1981 and was originally run by Robin Butterell. Bob Bullock took over the running of the line in 1983. The railway runs from Putters Junction and trains run in a dumb- bell loop past the engine shed and signal box. Trains then run down the promenade and round another balloon loop before returning to the station. The railway has a putting green and a gift shop/refreshment bar. The battery locomotive is used on a ‘drive it yourself’ system for the younger kids and on the main line, trains are operated by "Petra" at weekends and the petrol engines at other times.
